Una celebrazione dell’identità e dell’amore LGBTQ+ di Ernst Coppejans, Arjan Spannenburg e Joel Rodriguez

La più grande mostra della serie “Pride Through the Lens” si svolge ad Amsterdam, dove Rodriguez, Spannenburg e Coppejans si riuniscono in una collettiva che esamina l’intersezione tra culture etniche emarginate e queerness, evidenziando la natura sfaccettata dell’identità all’interno della comunità LGBTQ+. I fotografi offrono uno sguardo ricco di sfumature su come i contesti culturali influenzino e arricchiscano le esperienze LGBTQ+.

Assisti a un’esposizione impressionante di arte del tatuaggio, con una vasta gamma di stili, tecniche e design. Dal tradizionale all’avanguardia, questa esposizione mette in mostra il meglio e il più audace nel mondo del tatuaggio con opere d’arte su una varietà di supporti, dalla fotografia alla tela, ai fogli flash incorniciati che celebrano tatuaggi iconici o il processo di progettazione che sta dietro di essi.

Urban Wildlife riunisce un gruppo di artisti che lavorano su diversi media per esplorare la connessione visiva tra animali e vita urbana. Spesso inaspettato e a volte surreale, ogni creativo porta il proprio approccio e stile al soggetto, dai murales alle classiche opere da galleria, con ogni opera aperta all’interpretazione dell’osservatore. Siamo orgogliosi di presentare questa collezione ampiamente orientata ma accessibile per illuminare con una luce colorata e allegra i mesi più bui dell’anno, nel cuore del centro urbano di Amsterdam.

Stay away from prejudices and let creativity take over the world.

We invited 10 artists to be part of this show, famed for illegal graffiti on the streets, painting gigantic murals and creating breathtaking pieces of art. And, to top it off, these 10 artists are all women! Yet, this isn’t about feminism, activism, or equality. Or this group of women working in the so-called ‘rough men’s world’. It’s all about creativity.

Street Love I A mix-medium show featuring a group of artists who all have a particular, but often varied link to art made on the streets. Artists who graduated from art academy that started exploring their creative path while hitting the streets with spray cans. Creative photographers with a passion for raw textures and capturing the most iconic street sceneries. Illustrators and designers who love to get away from their sketchbook and computers and create stunning work on the streets. And well-established artists that showcase their art in galleries all over the globe, but still embrace their first love, the streets. It’s their personal translation from their own creative path that made them the artists that they are today. Street Love brings a collection of artworks from seven artists showcasing their current level of skills. Sometimes with a clear link to the streets and sometimes requiring the imagination of the viewer to take over.

In official partnership with Pride Amsterdam, the internationally acclaimed photography exhibition, “Kings & Queens”, by Micha Schneijderberg (Snorella WC) and photographer Léon Hendrickx, takes over the art’otel Gallery. The captivating & poignant yet often humorous exhibition, features drag queens from all over the world, bringing the viewer closer to their identity beyond the exhibitionist extravaganza. Each image features two personalities of the same individual laid bare. The man, woman, or else, is intimately embracing their alter ego, the drag king or queen – or is it vice versa?

Abrstractalizm, la recente mostra proposta alla galleria art’otel ha fuso l’arte astratta con un tocco di cultura urbana, questa volta con un mix di nomi internazionali mescolati insieme ai nostri artisti olandesi preferiti. Abstractalizm ha visto la partecipazione di 6 artisti che hanno trattato questo tema, e il fatto che la formazione fosse più piccola ha dato la possibilità a ogni artista di esporre anche più lavori del consueto. Colori, pattern e linee audaci che donano l’iniezione di vita ed energia tanto anelata nei giorni invernali più oscuri. La mostra era visitabile tutti i giorni dalle ore 11 alle 23 presso la galleria art’otel, art’otel Amsterdam.

The name Punctilious, pronounced as “punk-til-ee-us”, is derived from the Italian word “puntiglio,” which means fine point. The inspiration behind this exhibition is found in the “illegal” graffiti movement of the eighties. The artists pioneering this movement pushed boundaries and took risks, while working within tight timeframes. They approached their craft with the utmost seriousness, striving for perfection, accuracy, and punctiliousness. This exhibition presents the work of 3 renowned artists who are balancing on the thin line between absolute geniality and total madness. For The London Police, DIGITAL DOES, and Hugo Mulder DHM, every dot is thought-through, every splatter is a visual expression placed on an exact spot and every stroke has an indescribable meaning of artistic value.
