What if my dog damages the room?
There will be a fee for any damages in the room. This will be communicated to you by the hotel.
What if my dog has an accident in the room?
It’s ok, mistakes happen. Just clean up as much of the mess as you can and inform us when you’re next passing reception. Please do not use the bath towels in the room to clear up their mess.
Where is the nearest pet-relief area?
If you come out the hotel entrance, you will find plenty of areas to take your dog out.
How many dogs can I have in my room?
You can have up to two dogs in the room.
I am allergic to dogs; will I stay in a room where dogs stayed before me?
To ensure the comfort and safety of all our guests, we have designated specific rooms for guests travelling with pets. This allows us to reserve non-pet rooms for those with allergies. If you have an allergy to pets, please notify the hotel in advance, and we will guarantee that you are accommodated in a room that has not been used by pets. Your well-being is our priority, and we are dedicated to providing a comfortable and allergy-free experience throughout your stay.

What type of dogs are not allowed at the hotel?
Dog breeds listed on the Dangerous Dogs Act 1991, listed below;

What size dogs are allowed at the hotel?
This will vary depending on the hotel or resort, please contact the hotel directly for further information
Should I bring food for my dog?
Yes. You know best what your pet’s favourite snacks are, so we always advise to take anything you would give them at home with you for your stay. All our hotels have local shops around the area where you can find pet snacks and food.
We have comfortable beds for your dog to stay in, so your dog will sleep at least as good as you will! Each art’otel is different, so you will find different beds in each hotel.
Is there a food/water bowls in the room for my dog?
Yes, we provide two bowls during their stay, one for drinks and one for food.
Am I allowed to leave my dog in the room while I go out?
If you are going somewhere else in the hotel, yes. Please put up your pet door hanger while you are out to ensure housekeeping will not enter the room. Dogs should not be left unattended in the room if you are leaving the hotel.
Do you welcome dogs in your public areas?
Yes – just remember to keep them on a lead! If you’re ordering food from the main restaurant or drinking at the bar, you must sit with your dog in the areas stated on the welcome letter.
How much will it cost for my dog/s to stay?
United Kingdom and the Netherlands: Fixed rate of £/€50 per dog irrespective of length of stay and will be taken on arrival at check-in.
Croatia: art’otel Zagreb: €20 per day per dog
Germany: art’otel Cologne, art’otel Berlin Mitte: €15 per day per dog
How do I book my dog’s stay?
- Book your room as you normally would.
- Open your confirmation email you receive, fill out the pet registration form and return it back to us.
- Look out for an email from us confirming your dog has been booked in.
- Read and ensure you have understood our art’otel Pets Policy Agreement
- Check in at reception and sign our pet policy agreement.
- Head up to your room together and give them some treats for being on their best behaviour.
You can bring your Dog to the hotel
To access the swimming pool, simply head upstairs from ARCA Restaurant and tap your key for entry. For massage reservations, please reach out to us, and we’ll be happy to assist. Gym and sauna services are available daily from 7am – 10pm.
Our state of the art heated in-door swimming pool is open from 7am - 10pm.
Available from 11am to 10pm
Located next to the reception, you can access ARCA Restaurant by taking the stairs next to the reception. ARCA Restaurant is open for dinner from Tuesday to Saturday, so while you're here enjoy world class Portuguese cuisine with some Asian twist by our award-winning concept chef Henrique Sá Pessoa.
Located on the first floor next to the library, ARCA Bar is open every day. So, you can enjoy our selection of drinks. If you have the chance be sure to try out our signature cocktail collection, "The Course of Life".
Breakfast is served in the ARCA Restaurant for a surcharge of €23.50 per adult and free for children. In the event that you want breakfast in your room, we also can provide that at an additional surcharge of €5.

Be aware that a fine of 300€ will be charged for cleaning purposes in case of smoking in the room.
Is my online payment secure?
Yes, all online payments are safely powered by our partner Adyen and are 3D secured.
What forms of payment do you accept?
We currently accept debit card and credit card payments. We can only accept cards that support a 3D secure verification.
I have a balance on my account, is it settled when I check-out online?
If there is a balance on your reservation, you will be able to pay it during online check-out. You will not be required to go to reception to settle it.
I am due a refund, when can I expect it?
Once a refund has been processed, it can take up to 14 working days to reach your bank account.
For online check-in, why do I need to pay in advance?
We ask you to pay in advance in order to complete the entire check-in process online. This way, you will be able to save time on your arrival. If you opt for a digital key, we also need the payment in advance in order to issue you one. We do not ask for any deposit online. If you wish to leave a card on file, you can do so at the reception at any point during your stay.
Can I request a late check-out?
Yes, you can ask the reception team about a late check-out at any point during your stay.
When can I check-out online?
You can check-out online on the morning of your departure. If we have your email address on file, we will send you an email at 7 am the day of departure with a link to check-out online.
If I check-out online, can I store my luggage?
Yes, if you check-out online you can store your luggage at reception.
If I check-out online and forget something in my room, what should I do?
If you check-out online, leave your room and realise you have left something behind, you can visit reception who will be happy to assist.
What happens to my digital key when I check-out online?
When you check-out online, your digital key will be deactivated. We recommend you check-out online when you are ready to depart.
Can I request an early check-in?
Yes, we ask you to confirm your arrival time when checking in online. An early check-in is not guaranteed though. If you want to guarantee one, please contact the hotel prior to your arrival.
When can I check-in online?
You can check-in online two hours after making your booking, until 8pm on the day of arrival. If we have your email address, we will email you the link to do so at 5pm the day before arrival.
What happens if I arrive at the hotel early?
If you arrive earlier than the standard check-in time of 3pm, please head to reception. The team can let you know if your room is available. If not, they will be happy to store your luggage until it is ready.
Will I start receiving marketing emails if I check-in online?
No, we will only send you marketing emails if you explicitly give your consent. You can do so by ticking the relevant checkbox when filling in the guest details during online check-in. If you are already subscribed to our marketing emails and want to opt out, please reach out to us at

How long is my data stored for?
How long we hold your data depends on the applicable regional regulations of the country where you are staying, as well as GDPR requirements. If you wish to enquire about your personal data, please reach out to us at

What data does the hotel store?
We collect and store the same information during online check-in as we do when you check in at the front desk.
Why do I need to pay in advance?
This enables the entire check-in process to be completed online in advance, which saves time on arrival. If you’ve requested a digital key, we also need the payment in advance to be able to issue one. We do not ask for any deposit online. If you wish to leave a card on file, you can do so at reception at any point during your stay.
What should I do if my digital key is not working?
Check that both Bluetooth and Location are enabled on your device and the art'otel services app also has access to Location and Bluetooth in order to unlock the door. If you continue to experience challenges with your digital key, our team at reception will be happy to help.
What happens if I have a digital key and my phone is dead/stolen/locked in the room?
Head to reception, where our team will be happy to help.
Can I share my digital key?
You can share your digital key with other guests included in your reservation. The number of digital keys you can share depends on the number of adults on your booking. If there is only one adult included in your booking, you will not be able to share your digital key.
Can I have both a digital key and a physical keycard?
Due to security reasons, we can only allow one key per guest. If you have a digital key and would prefer a physical keycard, please speak to our team at reception. To swap a physical keycard for a digital one, log in to our app (art'otel services) with your reservation number to get your digital key. Once you have your digital key, your physical keycard will no longer work.
When and how can I receive my digital key?
You can receive your digital key on the day of arrival after 3pm (or earlier if you’ve received confirmation of an early check-in from the hotel). You need to be within two kilometres of the hotel to receive your digital key.
